What is Rote Learning ?

学习的路上，死记硬背法是必经之路。只要你曾经是学生，都会有过这样的体验。然而，随着时间的前进，逐渐增加的知识库，有多少是被残留下？
数学的原理、概念甚至方程式等都会被遗忘。当年成绩多么的优秀，现在回首，其实也不知道自己当初怎么能记得，甚至完全没有了这段记忆。
不过，抚心自问。如果不用这个方法记下，就没有曾经的辉煌成绩单。目前，无论在工作或生活上，还是需要靠死记硬背法来生存。
无论再怎么提倡消除填鸭式教导，也磨灭不了它独有的功劳。

Every student experience rote learning especially at pre school level in recognising alphabets, numbers, spelling and etc. As we grow and come to test, cramming is one of the method to score with limited time to prepare for it.

But how many of these memory retain when more and more and abundant of lessons, formulae, cocept and etc, in short more input to store in our memory bank?

Some might be forgotten and some might take times to retrieve the memory, possibly only partially retrieve.

No matter how excellent u were in school days, we might be wondering now, how did we managed to stuff everything into our brain? Some possibly can't even recall they had actually learned before. The longer u leave school, the farer those memory gone.

Anyhow, it is undeniable that the cramming method / rote learning did helped a lot. I believe it is still very useful now even for working adults and daily life.

No matter how much we want to abolish nor disagree with cramming, there is beauty in it. Rote learning plays it roles well.
